What makes a team effective at Google? This was the question that researchers at Google asked in 2012. Over four years, they found 5 factors that made the most startling  impact. ‘Project Aristotle’ as it was named, revealed that at Google, the level of  ‘psychological safety’ (the belief that it was safe to be vulnerable) was the most significant factor in team effectiveness and productive team cultures.  

After a brief overview of the research findings, in this session we will consider, questions such as:

• Is this applicable to all teams, everywhere it is it contextual?

• What light can neuroscience shine on these factors?

• Might these discoveries be useful to leaders and team members in your context, and if so, how?

• What can team coaches, facilitators and trainers take from this to create a  ‘culture-in-the-moment’ for working most productively with teams - and groups?
