I started my working life in publishing, as a researcher for a historian. Midlife I went to university to read History and retrained to become a coach, trainer and facilitator applying CBT and NLP. This was a transformative process and convinced me that the methods and tools I use for personal and professional development really work!
I have now been working in this field for 15 years running executive coaching programmes, teambuilding and skills development within both the public and private sector in the UK and abroad. This has included developing and delivering programmes in the Middle East and North Africa on leadership development for women, management skills, and stress management.
Specific areas of expertise are stress management, work-life balance, emotional intelligence and applying CBT models to help people focus on the positive in themselves, others and the situations they are managing. I have written three books on these subjects and continue to find my career both stimulating and fascinating.
