Take a Breath of Fresh Air - a "From the Ground Up" Festival on Sustainability

  • St Philip and St James Church Leckhampton, Cheltenham GL50 2DL (map)

From the Ground Up aims to inform and encourage residents to explore more about how they can make a difference in their home, business/work, lifestyle choices, community and globally. The Festival concept has proved to be engaging, interactive and fun.

Now in its third year, the Festival’s central theme for 2024 will be AIR.  The impact of pollution and increased carbon emissions; how it is changing the Earth and the world in which we live.   And, also the hopeful news about what is being done to mitigate the damage and potentially create a better, cleaner environment in which to live. This will encompass clean space for health and wellbeing, technological initiatives, our lifestyle choices and urban solutions.  In brief, an opportunity for all to meet, chat with and listen to those from a diversity of organisations who have a link around the theme.

With participants and speakers throughout the day, it is a unique opportunity for visitors to engage with and, find out more about what is happening, both locally and further afield, discuss options and be inspired to make positive decisions for a more sustainable way of living.

All this will be free to the visitor!

Linda will be presenting a session from 1.45 to 2.30pm on “Three Stories of our Time”.
Some stories can trick us, us, some can paralyse us, and some stories can enliven, restoring our sense of purpose in this rapidly changing world. Which story might you be living now, and which might you choose?
